White Wizard Snail
The White Wizard Snail (Filopaludina martensi) is an eye-catching freshwater snail known for its unique, glossy white shell and elegant spiral shape. Native to Southeast Asia, this snail can grow up to 2 inches (5 cm) and thrives in aquariums with soft substrate and plenty of hiding spots. Ideal conditions include:
- Temperature: 20° - 28° C (68° - 82° F)
- pH: 7.0 - 8.0
- KH: 5 - 15 dKH
- Minimum tank size: 10 gallons
White Wizard Snails are peaceful and beneficial to aquariums as they help control algae and consume leftover food. Their striking white shell adds visual appeal, and they are excellent tank cleaners. They are hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them a great addition to freshwater setups.
