Orange Rili Shrimp
The Orange Rili Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) is a vibrant and attractive freshwater shrimp known for its striking orange coloration and translucent body. Native to freshwater habitats in East Asia, this shrimp grows up to 1.5 inches (4 cm) and thrives in well-planted, peaceful community tanks. Ideal conditions include:
- Temperature: 20° - 26° C (68° - 79° F)
- pH: 6.5 - 8.0
- KH: 3 - 10 dKH
- Minimum tank size: 5 gallons
Orange Rili Shrimp are peaceful, social, and excellent scavengers, making them a delightful addition to nano or community aquariums. Their bright colour adds a cheerful pop to any tank, and they help keep the substrate clean by consuming detritus and algae.
