The Lamp Eye Tetra (Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae) is a peaceful and active fish, known for its silver body and distinctive bright blue reflective eyes. Native to the rivers of South America, it grows up to 2.5 inches (6 cm) and thrives in well-planted community tanks. Ideal conditions include:

- pH: 6.0 - 7.5
- KH: 4 - 12 dKH
- Minimum tank size: 20 gallons
