Kuhli Loach Giant
The Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) is a peaceful, eel-like fish with a distinctive banded pattern of yellow and brown. Native to the slow-moving streams of Southeast Asia, it grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) and thrives in well-planted tanks with soft substrate and plenty of hiding spots. Ideal conditions include:
- Temperature: 24° - 30° C (75° - 86° F)
- pH: 5.5 - 6.5
- KH: 3 - 10 dKH
- Minimum tank size: 20 gallons
Kuhli Loaches are nocturnal, peaceful, and excellent scavengers, making them an interesting and beneficial addition to community aquariums, especially when kept in groups.
