The Blue King Tetra (Boehlkea fredcochui) is a striking fish with a vibrant blue body and a peaceful temperament. Native to the Amazon River basin, it grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) and thrives in well-planted community tanks. Ideal conditions include:

- pH: 5.5 - 7.5
- KH: 2 - 10 dKH
- Minimum tank size: 20 gallons
